Grain trailers are a particular speciality of Smyth Trailers.

Manufactured with a strong, robust chassis and fitted with anti-creep valves to the rear door rams, our grain trailers are manufactured with a safety prop, rear door secure locks, a hose tidy, sprung drawbar, stand holder, ladder and finished using a two-pack polyurethane paint system.

Its high-tipping angle and full RTA LED lighting (fitted as standard) gives our clients a highly versatile trailer.

Our grain trailers are available in capacities of 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20 tonnes, while optional extras include a hydraulic grain door, rollover cover, grain chute, swivel hitch, air brakes with load sensing and/or hydraulic brakes with load sensing. We also fit a wide range of tyres depending on your requirements.

The standard 16 tonne model is 5’6” in height and 18’ in length, while the 18 tonne model is 2’ longer and the 20 tonne model is 2' longer again. When used as a silage trailer, 0.75m is added to increase its level of capacity. Each trailer is fitted with our unique 8 tonne spring system for superior stability. This is standard across our range of fieldmaster trailers and available as an option on our 12 and 14 tonne models.

Commercial axles 420-180 brakes are fitted as standard on all Fieldmaster trailers and are available as an option on our 12 and 14 tonne models.

FC12 and FC14 Tonne Range:

In addition to our Fieldmaster range we have the farmer/contractor (FC) range in both 12 and 14 tonne.

Fitted with a stand holder, sprung drawbar, full RTA LED lighting, a robust chassis, secure locks on the rear door, anti-creep valves on the rear door hydraulic cylinders, safety prop and ladder, hose tidy, two-pack polyurethane paint system and high tipping angle as standard, the FC trailers have a capacity of 12 and 14 tonne.

The Standard 12 tonne model is 4' 8" in height and 16' in length, while the 14 tonne model is 2' longer. When used as a silage trailer, 1 metre is added to increase its level of capacity. The FC12 is fitted with an 8 stud 80mm axle with 400 x 80 brakes and a 5 leaf 13 tonne suspension, while the FC14 is fitted with an 10 stud 90mm axle with 400 x 80 brakes and a 6 leaf 15 tonne suspension. Commercial axles with 420 x 180 brakes can also be fitted to the FC12 and FC14 as can the 8 tonne spring system.

Both the FC12 and FC14 are both available in "Highline" spec which gives the customer:
